Lizzie is the youngest of four daughters. Her grandfather was a Filey fisherman and the family have many memories of eating the catch of the day. Lizzie has built up a good reputation in the town. She got her inspiration from her dad who was a former chef. In the family household cooking and entertaining went together on a regular basis and Lizzie quickly developed a passion for food. The caffé is very much a family concern working closely with her two sisters, help and advice is in abundance. The Clock Caffé name was eventually decided upon after a lot of deliberation, because of its location opposite the church clock in the town centre. The caffé (formerly Star Trading) was transformed, with a lot of hard work and determination, into Lizzie's dream - a continental, fresh approach to the eating experience and was opened on the 1st July 2006. We at the Clock Caffé would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone concerned for all the help and support given and to welcome customers old and new to experience our 'serious about food' attitude and warm welcome. We are now taking bookings for partys - menus available or create your own! After an extremely successful start it is Lizzie's aim to add to the present menu including obtaining the neccessary licence to enable her to provide quality wines and bottled beers to compliment the fine food on offer. |
